DATA POLICY
Clear about what the data can say.
YouTube Video Comments & Subtitles reads public data returned through the official YouTube API and labels the boundaries of each result.
What may be missing
Deleted, held, members-only or disabled comments may not be returned. Reply availability and historical coverage can vary by video and API response.
Retention
Saved jobs keep one row per video — coverage and counts, plus, for analyses, the report and the short quoted excerpts it cites. Comment bodies are not kept. Export archives can be downloaded for 24 hours, after which the links expire; subtitle readings do not expire, so reopening them stays free. Nothing is deleted on a timer beyond that link expiry.
Source and provenance
Every result links back to the original comment on YouTube, and every export names its source video in the file name. Use those links to verify a claim against the original thread.
