PRIVACY
Your research should stay yours.
This page explains the small amount of information YouTube Video Comments & Subtitles needs to provide saved jobs, account access and private exports.
What we receive
When you use a public preview, we receive the YouTube URL and technical request information needed to protect the service. When you sign in with Google, we receive the account identifiers Google returns for authentication.
What we keep
Saved jobs belong to your site and account: one row per video with what was read and the counts of that read. Comment bodies are not stored; the only comment text we keep is the short excerpts an AI reading shows as its evidence. A subtitle reading keeps the caption text you opened so you can reopen it, and anonymous readings are reached through a private handle kept in your browser, not a public index. Exports stay downloadable for 24 hours, after which the links stop working.
Your choices
Exports expire on their own after 24 hours and comment bodies are not stored at all. Anonymous handles live only in your browser — clearing site data drops them. We do not sell comment data or use private YouTube account content for public pages.
